Beginning Excel will run from 12:30 - 2:30 pm and Intermediate Excel will run from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the large Ramkota Amphitheater.    Cost is $15 for one session, $20 for both sessions.  SDASBO members may register (and pay) with the Fall Conference Registration or e-mail Jason Bietz ( jbietz@ysd.k12.sd.us ).   If registering via email, please bring payment with you to the workshop with your check made payable to SDASBO.  This is a BYOL (bring your own laptop) event.   The Ramkota has wireless internet so we should be able to distribute files to most laptops via web download or use USD drives for the few who cannot access the internet.    If you do not have access to a laptop, we will also project the demonstration on the big screen.

To view the Fall Conference Agenda, click here.  We are looking forward to a great conference and encourage our membership to attend the EXCEL pre-conference workshops.    This year we are happy to offer renewal credit for attending the pre-conference workshop and/or the Fall Conference!  Each pre-conference workshop is worth 2 renewal credits and the conference is worth 9 credits!  Contact Lori Jansen (Lori.Jansen@k12.sd.us) for more details.  Click here to download the combined conference & pre-conference registration form.   Cost for the conference is $50 for members ($60 if postmarked after September 16th).    Cost for the pre-conference workshop is $15 for one session or $20 for both sessions.  A single registration form and payment may be submitted.

 

Lennie Symes, an Education Technology Specialist with TIE in Rapid City, will conduct two Excel Training Sessions on September 22nd.   Beginning Excel will run from 12:30 - 2:30pm and Intermediate Excel will run from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the large Ramkota Amphitheater.    He has set up a website for this workshop ( http://lsymes.tie.wikispaces.net/BusinessManagers20090922 ) with more content to be added as it gets closer.  Members are encouraged to register with their conference registration.  Bring a laptop for hands-on learning.  More details will be distributed prior to the conference.

 

Moonlight Bowling is back!   Wednesday's entertainment will be bowling at the Lariat Lanes in Pierre.  Transportation will be provided leaving the Ramkota lobby at 9 pm and returning around midnight.   SDASBO members may pick their own 5-person teams and are encouraged to include at least one newer school business official.   Please register your team with Dale or Jason on Tuesday evening (Sept 22nd) at the Ramkota lounge or Wendesday morning (Sept 23) at the conference registration table.  Team lane assignments will be distributed at the bowling alley.   The scoring format will be no tap/no split (a 9 pin count and strikes, on first ball, count as strikes and splits count as spares!)   You need not be a good bowler to have fun!  Turkey and team prizes will be awarded!

 

As a new twist, members are encouraged to wear bowling shirts!  Be an original by designing your own shirt or go together and customize a team shirt.  Prizes will be awarded for Peoples Choice!
